Natural White Wine

Join renowned sommelier Ben Moechtar from Delicado Wines as her reviews the latest in natural wine. From the Adelaide Hills this natural wine is made by a new company called Natural Selection Theory. This is a collaborative experiment in natural winemaking between Sam Hughes, Anton Von Klopper, James Erskine and Tom Shobbrook. Made from organic fruits with no additives, this white wine is made to be consumed in the first 12 months. Easy to drink and great with poached chicken, oily fish or salad. Salute!

Fresh & Juicy Albarino

Join renowned sommelier Ben Moechtar, from Delicado Wines as he talks about this fresh and juicy Albarino from Rias Baixas, Spain. The 2009 ‘Davila’ from producer Valminor has flavours of pear, and is slightly peppery. Fantastic with seafood on a hot summers day.

Importers, The Spanish Acquisition, say “A dramatic rich, textured and succulent take on Albariño and friends. Fuller than the straight varietal, however it remains well cut and structured – a wine of silky languor, floral and rich but grassy and long as well. The pear’n’peach fruit gains a waxy white floral hit and is deep and lengthy, complexed with paw paw, honey and nectar. 75% Albariño/15% Treixadura/10% Loureiro.”

Verdicchio grape is one of the indigenous grapes of Italy, mostly from the Marche region. This Classico by Villa Bianchi is a 2008 and is great with seafood. Salute!
